Our Mission

Fabric Mountain is committed to provide the growing community of costume creators the best quality, selection, and price through community feedback and participation.

Our Model

What better way than to have it all in one place!  We bring all of our samples to your favorite event. You can touch, feel and color match on the spot.   Place an order and have it arrive a few days after the event.  Bring makers and clients together for that "no mistake" in-person selection. Bring current costumes over to see if we have a match for your repair or rebuild. Add accessories as a fashion statement with other materials such as webbing, straps, foam and more!

While we stock many of the basics other retailers do, we also frequent fabric districts and make deals on stock overruns and seconds.  Products that you may have never seen for sale anywhere else!  We will also provide goodies and tools to help your costume making adventure a success.  Over time we plan on adding items based on consumer feedback.

Our Craft Room is a spot for this type of feedback where both new and veteran costume builders can browse, learn, and share.  This is a place where we will have tips and facts on products and usage.  The goal with this area is to reach out to the community and invite our members to provide their own discoveries and how-to's.  From simple descriptions to step-by-step YouTube videos, we anticipate this feature to be one of the most frequented pages we offer.

Eventually we will have a customer gallery, where people can submit images of their creations.  In time we hope to have a monthly spotlights and even contests were makers can earn fabric for their next project.

You request is our demand! (for the most part :)  We like to hear from our customers, in fact, your input is paramount to our success!  With new trends, technologies, and methods being created on a daily basis, keeping abreast makes sense and you are the people who can make this happen!

A Brief History

Fabric Mountain has been in planning since the mid 2000s with our first proof of concepts rolling out in 2009.   We took the time to start of on the right foot by creating a legitimate business. Its a costly and time consuming venture, but we believe it to be the right way to do things! Once this was accomplished we secured funding for our first round of purchases and now have the basics in stock.
